Around the World in 80 Days
One of those books that probably helped reinforce the stereotype that India is a land of Elephants and Snake Charmers and little else. At one point, the French man servant even refers to 'more civilized lands', when they finally reach the US pacific coast, which had me in splits. That aside, a breezy read and a forward thinking novel for its time.
